Recycling of metal waste
We recycle what we are able to. A large part of that process is disposal of dangerous or potentially harmful metals. They are commonly referred to as Scrap Metal. We use a legitimate disposal service that is environmentally friendly. After safe removal, all waste is then prepared to be recycled by ensuring it is of quality grade. Only then can it be melted to perhaps even become a whole new air conditioner!
For more information regarding disposal of scrap metal, please contact the council for the area in which you reside.
Whether you choose us to install your air conditioning or not, please hold tradesmen responsible for their impacts.

What is ARC?
The Australian Refrigeration Council Ltd (ARC) is the peak body for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry in Australia, servicing over 100,000 individuals and businesses. The ARC provides leadership, value and knowledge to the industry through:
Licensing and regulatory assistance
Technical advice
Preparing technicians for future technologies
Actively promoting training quality
Connecting customers to ARC-licensed businesses

Helping industry to “build their businesses” through various services
The ARC administers refrigerant handling licences and refrigerant trading authorisations on behalf of the Australian Government, to professionals in the refrigeration/air conditioning and auto industry.
ARC also assisted with the administration of the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) star rating labelling scheme.
The Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Regulations 1995 (the Regulations) cover licensing requirements for those who work with fluorocarbon refrigerants and refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
In June 2005 the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) was appointed by the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources to administer the refrigeration and air conditioning aspects of the Regulations.
The ARC is responsible for granting refrigerant handling licences and refrigerant trading authorisations approved under the Regulations, as well as conducting compliance and communications activities.
Whilst the ARC can investigate areas of non-compliance or breaches against the regulations, enforcement activities are conducted by the Department.
Benefits for customers
How does this affect us?
The refrigerants used in modern air conditioning is much safer for human and the environment, but older and less efficient units can harmful to both us and the environment. We have taken deliberate and sometime costly measures to be sure that these refrigerants are handled safely in all forms. In our opinion, to not have a licence and qualified professional dealing with something as important as our environment would be silly. That is why we promote safe work with refrigerants at all costs-storage, handling and disposal. We are happy to say we support ARC and do everything we can to help on the mission to a safer and environmentally sound industry.

Asbestos
Asbestos can be a real concern in our line of work, but it is something that is common enough where we are now comfortable identifying it. Asbestos presence cannot be ignored, we will always notify you that the material will need to be professionally tested if suspected to truly be asbestos before work is carried out. Sadly, testing expenses will be passed on to the customer. Asbestos was completely phased out by 2005 as it caused many health issues, including death. If the home was built after 2000 the chance of finding asbestos is extremely low. If you are aware that there may be asbestos in the home, please notify us prior to carrying out work.
